Description

OSB sheets are precision engineered boards and as such are suited to structural use in load bearing and challenging conditions.

OSB stands for Oriented Strand Board because it’s an engineered sheet material made from layers of strands of wood bonded together with adhesives. Further benefits and key features of our OSB sheets include:

  • Firstly because of the tens of thousands of real wood strands that go into every board you get a sheet material stronger than most softwood plywood.
  • Cut waste with precision engineered panels. Meaning high quality panels with no knots, voids or delamination problems for you to worry about.
  • Tough enough to meet most load-bearing applications in house building and construction; Sterling OSB is BBA Approved and conforms to Eurocodes therefore giving you peace of mind.
  •  Simple to saw, drill, nail, plane, file or sand. You can use nails as close as 8mm from the panel edge without splitting, making your job easier.
  • You’ll work with a sustainable building product that’s FSC® certified and made from timber grown in the UK.
  • Because it’s manufactured here too, there’s fewer carbon miles clocked up in transportation, resulting in a more environmentally friendly product.

Best of all our Sterling OSB3 is FSC®, BBA, UKTFA Q Mark & CE certified and this means you can use it for:

  • Timber frame housing
  • Flat and pitched roofs
  • Wall sheathing
  • Flooring
  • Portable buildings
  • Caravans
  • Agricultural buildings
  • Decorative paneling
